EasilyDo Mail

Productivity app EasilyDo launched a brand new email app this week that aims to put an assistant right in your inbox. The app will proactively provide updates on travel delays and shipping notifications, along with features power users will love — like the ability to block read receipts and undo sent messages.

Pro-tip: The app makes it incredibly easy to unsubscribe from newsletters and other updates with one-touch email subscription management.
Free: iOS
Launcher

Launcher

An app that makes one of the best uses of the iPhone’s notification center widgets, Launcher got a major update this week. The app, which creates custom one-touch shortcuts for frequently used actions like phone calls to specific contacts or directions home, now allows you to add even more widget shortcuts to your notification center. The app also borrows some ideas from popular Android launchers with features like the ability to customize widgets based on the time of day or your location.

Pro-tip: The update also brings a lot more customization options for tweaking the look of widget icons.

Free: iOS (some features require in-app purchases)
Sochat

Sochat

Sochat’s messaging app combines many of the features from our favorite messaging apps with support for photos and GIFs, YouTube videos, disappearing messages, “magic words” (remember Peach?), and much more. The app also has built-in discovery features to make it easier to find people to chat with nearby.

Pro-tip: The app also works offline when you don’t have a Wi-Fi or data connection by allowing you to send messages to people nearby via Bluetooth.
Free: iOS and Android
Taxilater

TaxiLater

TaxiLater aims to fill in one of the gaps in Uber’s standard app: that you can’t plan for rides you know you'll need ahead of time. TaxiLater solves this with its app that allows you to pre-book rides you know you’ll take. Simply fill in the date, time and type of service and the app will request the car for you at the right time.

Pro-tip: Use the hamburger menu in the top right corner of the app to check out all your scheduled rides.
Free: iOS
Textnow

TextNow

TextNow's app, which offers a free phone and texting service, was updated this week with free international texting. You can now use the app, which provides users with a unique phone number in the area code of their choosing, to text international numbers, in addition to the free U.S. phone calls and SMS services.

Pro-tip: The update also added international calling, which isn't free, but the app does provide in-app ways to earn calling credits in order to offset the cost.
Free: iOS and Android
