Apple TV can now deliver Papa John's pizza for your binge watching needs
Just days before Apple launches a wealth of new product goodness, U.S. food chain Papa John's has announced an amazing new feature designed for Apple consumers: pizza via your TV.
On Tuesday, Papa John's launched a new app that allows customers to order directly from Apple TV.
Thankfully, the app isn't in any way hobbled by the transfer to the new format: you can order the restaurant's entire menu, including side dishes and drinks, and create incredibly detailed combinations of pizza toppings.
The app uses your existing Papa John's account information to determine your delivery location, payment information and any favorites you may have ordered in the past.
"Apple TV is the only television platform that we've brought the Papa John's ordering experience to," Papa John's president Steve Ritchie said in a statement accompanying the launch. "We were attracted to Apple TV because of its commitment to innovation and customer experience, two priorities that Papa John’s is always seeking to evolve."
The combination of pizza and television is a perfect fit but, according to the company, it is the first national pizza chain to launch such an ordering app on Apple TV. However, users have been to order Domino's pizza via the Samsung Smart TV since last year.
Perhaps the best part of the new Papa John's app is that fact that users ordering directly from Apple TV get a 25 percent discount.
Making pizza this easy to order may not be the healthiest way to binge watch but, for many users, this particular bit of fast food innovation will be just too easy to resist.
