Dodge will build a wide-body 707-HP Hellcat Challenger next year

2017 Dodge Challenger SRT 392
How can the 707-horsepower Dodge SRT Hellcat get even better? Easy, give it a wide-body option.

Just last month, Dodge revealed two new variants of its Challenger and Charger muscle cars, the Daytona and the A/T. For as exciting as those were, it turns out they're just the tip of the iceberg for the American muscle duo.
Dodge's overlords, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), is planning several other exciting variants for the Challenger before its complete redesign in 2018.
First off, the two-door bruiser will have an all-wheel drive variant added to its lineup with a V6 engine under the hood. That will be called the GT AWD, according to Automotive News.
Then, and perhaps most excitingly, Dodge will be taking its 707-horsepower Charger SRT Hellcat and blessing it with what I can only assume will be an insanely impressive and imposing wide body. That menace to society will be dubbed the Challenger ADR.
Intriguingly, looking at the above infographic, we can see that isn't the only performance car Dodge has in the pipeline. It's also planning a new Barracuda sports car for 2021. That, like essentially every other Dodge built by then, will ride on the FCA Giorgio platform.

I can't be certain what the Barracuda will compete with, as the company has likely just started drawing the thing in Detroit. However, it wouldn't surprise me if it will be a twin-turbocharged V6-powered Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro fighter. We can only hope, though.
