Apple has 14 cool new Olympic-themed Watch bands, but you can only get them in Rio
Apple Watch enthusiasts who are also into sports, here's a chance to justify a trip to Brazil: Besides watching athletes compete in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in person, you'll also be able to buy Watch bands with national flag motifs from 14 countries.
According to GQ, these limited edition bands cost $49 each and will only be sold at one location: the Apple Store at VillageMall in Barra da Tijuca.
The straps will become available in early August, but there's obviously another way to get them, as sprinter Trayvon Bromell showed off his U.S.-themed band on Twitter Thursday.
To recap: If you want one of these straps, you can either go to Rio or be a top athlete. We'd call that an easy choice.
The list of countries represented on the bands includes USA, Great Britain, The Netherlands, South Africa, New Zealand, Mexico, Japan, Jamaica, Canada, China, Australia, Germany, France and, of course, Brazil.
Apple significantly expanded its lineup of Watch bands in March, when it introduced new nylon straps. In April, the company introduced new Watch band styles in collaboration with luxury fashion house Hermes, following the overwhelming popularity of the first collection.
